A dear friend gifted me the two beautiful shoe blocks, I decided that I must put it together into something simple and NOT A HANDBAG... So....my sewing room is down 5 steps off the kitchen and leads to the garage..so I have this wonderful little bit of wall that I decided to turn into the WALL OF FAME...there are now two items (havent photographed the other one yet) ((for shame))...but I will...
Anyway this one looks great if I do say so myself, but more than that I am happy that a gift has been put together and displayed, and I get to look at it every day!
I have hand quilted around the flowers, shoes and the scallop edge, just set it off nice.

Ok, the colour of this photo isnt great, however Its one that I love, oh just realized you might need to stand the computer on its side to see the birdies...but thats ok, just pretend your looking up into the trees :))
I made this for my new granddaughters cot! It is 'inspired' by Kellie's quilt and the wallhanging I have already made, found here! I have also used Melly's idea of format from her book Kaleidoscope.

She is kinda cute, but is it just me who sees a similarity in hair style to John Travolta in Pulp Fiction? Or is it Quentin Tanantino overload!

Madame Unicorn (aka Pegasus/unicorn) sitting on Brads new quilt, all quilted!
Now I think I have around 200 more items to do..lol

This is for my son's 30th birthday, I have it laying over the kitchen table with thousands of pins at the moment, and needed a bleeding finger break!! ouchies... I am trying to decide "in the ditch" or all over meander..I have a wonderful varigated brown/cream thread, so think meander would look great with the thread, in the ditch will not show the threads wonderful colours..so does that mean I just made up my mind?

Tis finished!!!

Soon to be born granddaughter #2's wall hanging...pattern here...I have enlarged the entire pattern to fit the area where it is to hang. The original pattern is for a cushion. I think it worked well, and when I give it to Daughter-in-Law I will take another photo of it hanging in its spot.
Ahhhh it feels great to complete things!

O.K Sorry about the Sao biscuits for those not Australian reading this...here is the link to Sao's I dont know what the alternative would be elsewhere...but basically its a cracker you would put cheese ot tomato on. Its square which makes it perfect for this recipe. We used to be able to buy a biscuit called Lattice, which had a sticky sweet top and this was used, but I dont think they are available here anymore, and the sao for me is much better. Hope that helps.

Ok..what do you do when you ask your hubby to buy a packet of vanilla pudding, and he comes home with vanilla CAKE mix??? Why make cupcakes of course!!....Now you may be wondering why I wanted the pudding? Well I also asked for a packet of Sao biscuits and got YOYO's!! LOL so it was off to the supermarket to purchase the products to make this......
VANILLA SLICE
Ingredients:
300ml cream (lite)
1 packet vanilla instant pudding
Sao biscuits
Method:
Line a slice tin with baking paper.
Place a layer of Sao biscuits in the
tin. Whisk the cream and instant
pudding together. Pour over the
layer of biscuits. Top with another
layer of Sao biscuits. Ice with a
thin layer of icing. Leave in fridge
to set. Cut into slices and serve.
YUMMM no photo?? NOPE sorry all gone!!

My first attempt at a Melly and Me Messenger bird. Pattern available here.
I am sure my granddaughter will love this, and I am also sure that it wont be the last one I make..lol
The basket is made by crocheting lengths of fabric, I have never done this before and apart from my fingers hurting, it was good fun! Bathroom mat???? NO I don't think so ;)

Origami! How wonderful, I found a u-tube of how to make a box using this ancient technique. I just had to try one straight away and this is the result...next one should be better, and choosing the right paper is so important. Not to thick not to thin. But you get the idea.

2" pincushion cube... Loved making this, English paper pieced,
